Brand never fades away it just alters its traits. Strong brand strategies have traits in common with others, but are unique in their specifics. They introduce creative ways of thinking about old ideas. This is what we can see in Judwa 2. What I loved about the movie was the same story line. Usually the sequel comes up with fresh story but judwa 2 has the maintained its brand inheritance.
Varun Dhawan as usual is at its best. The story line of Judwa 2 strikes the chord with era of 90 where in we loved the whole drama of how a villain separates the family and the end is happy. The same can be visualized from this movie and there is no denial to a fact that we still love such movies. Varun Dhawan has recreated that magic and had successfully carried the role of Raja and Prem. There is no comparison to Salman Khan (Raja and Prem) but he has managed to carry Judwa 2.
For what Judwa is remembered i.e. they both share the bodily reflexes which can be seen in this as well, but from when the movie has progressed I was waiting to see the reflexes but we could see it only when they were in the same country. What we all remember from Judwa 1 was the kiss at the airport when Prem Lands in India. The same can be seen with Varun Dhawan but kissing Tapsee's mother did not go well with the story. They have tried to maintain the same story with fresh humour on demonetisation and Bahuballi but they did not leave any imprint on us.
What I really missed was jodi of Anupam Kher and Satish Shah. I think they were lovely in tapping Raja every time just to get promotion. East or west India is the best from Judwa 1 was somewhat missed. I loved that song and also the way it was positioned but Varun Dhawan had taken the stage with Tan Tana Tan Tana which it didnt give me goose bumps . Chalti hai kya 9-12 has created history again with changed lyrics.
The leggy lass Jacueline Fernandezand Taapsee Pannu looked charming. The hero of the movie did not disappoint us, he had the perfect comic timing. It was treat watching him. In both the characters he looked cute. If you are the lover of comedy and want to just relive judwa you can watch the movie.What we have to realise is these days promotion plays a vital role in making movie successful. If you go back to the era of 90's it was just the cast and story.
The movie was released on the festive time so it had managed to attract the masses. These days Brand matter a lot. We all are so connected to brand these days that trust automatically gets build up. Before booking tickets for judwa 2 you will surely motivate yourself saying the risk is less as you have watched judwa. We normally do not watch old movies on youtube or TV these days but because of sequels we can revise the script with fresh cast.
