Securing admission to a top notch college of India, is what most of our school life and especially 12th standard is dedicated to. Behold the Delhi University, the aim of a majority of the Indian youth.
With the announcement of the class 12 results, students across India are pulling up their socks, preparing to descend upon campus to secure their admission. So today we are going to discuss five key points, you should keep in mind while filling college forms.
1. Make sure to circle out the maximum number of courses
As is wisely said, “Always have a contingency plan”. The university puts no limits to the number of courses one can opt for while filling out the pre-admission form, so make sure you opt for the maximum number of courses you feel are appropriate. This creates a safety net just in case you do not get your preferred course.
2. Always fill the actual marks obtained in your board exams

However, this task is the responsibility of the colleges concerned and not to be partaken by the students.
3. Carefully follow all instructions given in the OMR form and the accompanying prospectus

You will get a prospectus along with the purchase of the optical mark recognition (OMR) form. It is highly advised that you read it thoroughly before filling out the form. Get a photocopy of the blank OMR form and practice filling it up before filling the original application form. Avoid making mistakes. Overwritten or incomplete forms may be rejected. Strictly follow the instructions listed in both. An important one is to fill out the marks of all five subjects.
4. You can fill OMR form even, if you have comparted in class 12th

Do not be deterred into not filling the pre-admission form even if you have a compartment in class XII. Your admission will be provisional and subject to clearing the compartment exam before the stipulated date and fulfilling the minimum eligibility.
5. Your candidature for admission will not be cancelled if you happen to submit the form both offline and online

The university will not cancel your admission because of duplicate forms. So you can fill the form both offline and online.
So here you go! Make sure you keep the above in mind while filling out the admission form.
