There are some movies in the Bollywood Industry that don't get it transaction into theaters immediately after post production. Many hurdles including producers backing out, untimely death or CBFC issues lead to movies getting delayed on losing buzz. Discussing many of the cases, here is 5 Bollywood movies that no one watched.
No. 1: Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar
The movie starring Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty in Lead roles was the remake of the Tamil film Priya Sakhi. A man with the girl by snooping in a personal diary and is focused on many aspects of life, like conservative family, abortion and misogynistic customs we still follow. Film began production in 2002 but kept getting delayed due to many production problems and find a release on August 4th 2006 to disastrous box office business.
No. 2: Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai
The film starring Bobby Deol, Arjun Rampal and Amisha Patel revolves around a blind woman who struggles to come to terms with the first love who apparently has been killed and a new man who wants to help her, move on with her life. The movie is inspired by the 1995 Kannada film Anuraga Sangama, which is loosely inspired by Charlie Chaplin starrer City Lights. The film was scheduled to produce in 2002 but due to multiple complications in productions, it got delayed and released in 2006 to disasters box office figures.
No. 3: Rang Rasiya
An Indian drama film directed by Ketan Mehta and starring Randeep Hooda, Nandana Sen in lead role. The movie was based on the life of the famous 19th century painter Raja Ravi Varma known for his acclaimed European technique and extremely interesting personal life and mind frame. The main focus was backdrop on which he worked. The movie was first showcased in the London film festival in 2008. But due to multiple scenes being caught by the Censor Board on the grounds of being objectionable, the movie took 6 years to get certificate to be screened in theaters.
No. 4: Deewana Main Deewana
The movie starring Govinda and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles was a remake of the Tamil film Priyamudan directed by Vincent Selva. The number of unnecessary twists and turns in a love story with characters hit their identity to win over the opposite gender. This film is actually shot in 2003. Priyanka Chopra was approximately 20 years old then. Due to many production and financial issues, the movie was delayed and released a whopping 10 years later making little to no business.
No. 5: Yeh Lamhe Judaai ke
The movie stared Shahrukh Khan and Raveena Tandon in lead roles. Its about a friend's journey of becoming a successful singer and his friend's role in helping him take that successful path. Its about the misunderstanding between these two friends created by other friends.This film was shot in 1994 and released 10 years later in 2004. The film actually stalled after shooting few scenes. The film was revived in 2004 with a different title and actors and also altering the story completely.
