Blackhead
A major feature of acne, blackheads are really annoying especially when you are going on a date or when you have to attend any party or function. Looking in the mirror gives a horrifying experience of noticing those tiny little black spots on the skin. The frustrating part of these is that even after the removal of these blackheads, they reoccur fairly regularly and can be pretty pesty. Everybody wants a clear skin without spending much. So here are some remedies which you can do yourself at your home. These remedies are totally pocket friendly. All you need is:
1. Yeast and coconut milk (you can take any milk: cow, almond, goat, almond, cashew or soya)
Add few drops of milk in the yeast. Mix them until you get a paste. Apply to your nose (or all over your face). Let it dry completely. Wash off with lukewarm water in circular motion and the blackheads will pop out.
Why yeast?
Yeast extract is an excellent humectant. It is a complex mixture of proteins, sugars and amino acids which helps reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyper pigmentation by reducing the melanin production.
2. 1 egg white and napkin (tissue paper or toilet paper)
Paste a layer of egg white on your face or blackhead prone area. Then, apply a strip on that area. Apply another layer of egg white on the same area and again apply a strip on it. Repeat the process 2-3 times on the same area (make sure not to make it too thick). Let it dry and remove it gently and see those black heads gunk on the strips. Wash off with lukewarm water and moisturize it.
Why egg whites?
Egg whites are rich in protein and vitamin C which help in tightening the large pores of your skin and also helps in reducing sebum.
3. 1 tablespoon gelatin (knox) and 2 tablespoon milk
Mix the two in a bowl. Microwave for 8 seconds. Apply the mixture right away as it will harden fast (make sure that it does not burn your skin). Let it completely dry for 15 minutes. Peel off gently and moisturize it.
Why gelatin?
Gelatin is composed of amino acids, glycine and proline which helps to tighten loose skin. It aso supports skin, hair and nail growth.
4. 1 tablespoon ground oat meal, 1 table spoon orange peel powder and 1 tablespoon whole yoghurt
Mix the ingredients in a bowl. Take some of the mixture and gently rub it on a blackhead prone area for about 20-30 seconds in a circular motion. Afterwards apply a thick layer of the mixture on your face. Let it set for 5 minutes. Wipe the mask with a wet wash cloth or wet towel. Moisturize it.
Why oat meal, orange peel and whole yogurt?
Oat meal absorbs excess oil and gently exfoliates the skin. Orange peel nourishes the skin and citric acid helps to kill the bacteria that clog your pores. Yogurt contains lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid that melts away dead skin cells. It is also rich in zinc and vitamin B which helps in moisturizing the skin and helps tighten the large pores. It also soften the skin and make blackheads removal easy.
5. 2 tablespoon warm green tea, 1 tablespoon gelatin and half tablespoon turmeric
Mix all the ingredients and wait for it to cool down slightly (don’t wait too long). Apply the mask all over the face. Let it dry for about 20-30 minutes and peel it upwards starting from the chin. Be gentle while removing, not to tug too hard. Finally rinse it with cold water.
