Well, as inspirational is the story of the great people of India, same is the case with the new president of India. He is a motivation to Dalit empowerment as he paved his way from a farmer's son to the president of India. He hails from a little village, Paraunkh which is about 100 km from Kanpur. Ram Nath Ji had his first lesson under a peepal tree in his village, and it is believed that he was witty, spiritual and hard working from the beginning. He would walk 8 km barefoot to attend his classes.
Career:
Ram Nath performed well in studies, so he went to pursue his higher studies in Kanpur. He developed an interest in law, and so he completed his graduation from New Delhi in the 1970s.Their small village realised the potential of a star in their community when he became the personal assistant to the former president Morarji Desai in late 1970s. Unlike others, he didn't stop here; he became the MP of Rajya Sabha in 1994 and created a history.
Great Works:
Ram Nath developed his village Parunkh into a model village through the funds from the government. He paved roads, a State Bank of India, a high school for girls, electricity in everyone's home and much more. Further, he even donated his ancestral home as a place for solemnising marriages. Moreover, being the MP, he took steps to the development of Kanpur from the construction of well-tiled roads to steel chairs for senior members to rest. He developed the mass wasteland stretches into best places for home accommodation.
