A recent security threat survey undertaken by a highly regarded security firm found that only a quarter of internet users used parental control software to help them limit their children’s online activities. The matter of concern is that among parents who do not have parental control over their children’s online activities, one fifth or about 21% parents believe that it is better for children to learn to use the Internet safely.
The survey also found that only one-third or about 37% of parents fear that their children may be harmed by the inappropriate online content. Only 36% of parents were cautious with their children communicating with unfamiliar online persons and only about 34% of parents worried their children would become victims of cyber bullying.
