Five lessons to be successful in life:
1. Never work for money, work for your passion. Be greedy for self satisfaction.
Today, the pursuit of money is almost directly linked the pursuit of happiness. In fact, many will argue that money is equal happiness.
When people are on the stage of taking decisions intended to their career, they are sometimes blindfolded by money flow. They end up choosing their paper trail, forcibly doing some work that leads to the draining of their good experiences.
However, at certain point of life, you realise that no matter how much money you make, nothing will help you overcome the feeling of doing something you were never passionate about. Money will restrict the obstacles and hurdles that you might face in life, but it will also restrict your creative thinking.
The choice of a money oriented or a satisfaction oriented life is yours!
2. Time is a great healer and a great killer. You’ll suffer if you waste it.
“Men talk of killing time, while time quietly kills them”, says Dion Boucicanet. Time is in fact, comparable to the investment you make in any sector. Someone invests time in education and someone in robbery, and by the time a considerable portion of time is over, the two of them are in for comparable drastic changes. One invested it, the other killed it. And if you sit killing time, time will certainly take up and kill you, with no chances of survival.
Contrary to this, time is undoubtedly the best healer. As you get yourself busy in life, you tend to forget the hurts, disappointments and the lows that you faced in your life. You will recover from the accidents, physical injuries and heart breaks, only with the passage of time. If you sit lamenting and lose faith on time, no medicine would heal these wounds.
Therefore, both men and women, need to draw a balance between killing time and overloading it to the point of exhaustion. Also, they need to trust time for bringing the best future. Life teaches it multiple times.
3. Complaining Won’t Solve Your Problem. You must Take Initiative to Solve the Problem.
Initiative and creativity move the world. At many points in life, you will come across incidents which will make you remember that ‘self-help is the best help’. If you can’t stand up for your troubles and remove them from your life, nobody can.
Even if you communicate your problems to others, you may have a pool of suggestions to dive in. But, it is ‘you’ who have to choose what is the correct solution to ‘your’ problem. This is because the situations, the circumstances that lead to a situation are different for every individual.
Try to observe everything going around you as much as you can. Instead of complaining, start analysing. The solution in somewhere around only.
4. Physical Appearance matter 1% for success. Rest 99% is your hard work.
We have heard elderly people saying that “Real Life Success” is neither by luck, nor by chance. It starts and ends with hard-work. But we don’t believe them until we realise that attractive appearance might bring the opportunity to us, yet, it is the hard-work and determination that will take us to the top.
Jack Ma, the most influential e-commerce Tycoon in China, known for his venture, Alibaba. He started off with no monetary support from his family. His advanced communication skills help him to gain success for his online business and his later success is credit to his farsightedness. All in all, it was his hard work and not appearance that made him a name known to you and me.
It is hard to define what leads to success, but it is obvious to say that without diligent work and aspiration, success would not happen. Except for show businesses like modelling, appearance hardly matters. You should be presentable, that’s all.
5. Taking risk in later stages of your life will make your life miserable. Take risks in early stages.
Taking risks seems great, otherwise unforeseen opportunities often come from risk taking. Yet, only later stages of life make us realise that in the stages of settlement, risk can’t be taken.
There are stories of many entrepreneurs who started with just a little of what they had, yet succeeding in life. They having experienced growth from scratch to billions. The difference that makes them stand out is the fact that they took risk at the stage of life, when they were in a position of taking risks.
They knew what their goals were and what calculated amount of risk they must take. Therefore, if you intend to take any risk, pertaining to economic, health or family, don’t bump into them in later stages of life. No doubt, risk is a factor that gauges a person, if he’s tough enough to make it or not. But it’s timing should be perfect.
