The Andaman Island Is a group of small, beautiful and untouched islands in South of India. It has wonderful beaches, blue crystal clear water, serene environment, peaceful aura, happy sunshine and calm nights.
We Spent four days in this heaven. Earlier it was famous for the punishments known as Black Waters. In 19th century, Cellular Jail was built in Port Blair, Capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This Cellular Jail was then used to imprison the Indian Freedom Strugglers in solitude confinements by the British rulers. The Jail is huge and recites the story of freedom fighters, how they were captured and torned in a very heart touching manner called light and music show. Same day in the evening, we visited Beautiful Ross Island which is just 5 minutes from Port Blair. Some water sports is the main attraction there.
Next day we headed to Havelock Island via well equipped cruise which took around two hours. Havelock has numerous beautiful beaches and the best is Radhanagar Beach. It has a pictursque sunset view to offer. Elephant beach and Vijaynagar beach are also very beautiful. These beaches also offer water sports to the visitors like scuba diving, banana boat ride, underwater dive etc. under the guidance of professional trainers. We enjoyed these activities along wwith submarine ride. Fresh fruits, coconut water, sunbath and some shopping of shells and coral artifacts are addition to the fun. We spotted live crab and moving shells and snails also and it was exciting for us.
The next spot was Neil Island. Neil is a small island but have unexplored and untouched beauty all around. Crystal clear water, brilliant aquatic life and beautiful coral reefs are the USP of Neil islands. To explore the beauty in depth, we hired a vehicle. The path was covered by tall coconut trees all over. Bharatpur beach and Laxmangarh beach are well known beaches for the surise and sunset views. Here, one can enjoy the music of winds and dancing of waters on it.
Apart from islands, the life is easy and peaceful there. Although we missed the nightlife there but sitting under the tree and near the beach looking at the movement of water and the reflection of moon in sea was a pleasure.
The Andaman islands are truly magical and it feels like a heaven on the earth.
